He is the Only Purush

Harikatha, Sreela Bhakti Ballabh Tirtha Goswami Maharaj

Guru Maharaj explains that Supreme Lord Sri Krishna is the only enjoyer, the pūrus and we are all prakṛti. We are to be dominated and enjoyed by Him. Those who have got a enjoying spirit, they act like a pūrus, they are averse to Sri Krishna, and they have forgotten the relation with Sri Krishna. Our every relation should be with Krishna only. If we do not want to serve Him with relation then we will get non eternal relations in this world and we will have to suffer threefold afflictions.

  • Our Guru Maharaj used to say that you should go through the biographies of pure devotees, then you will have inspiration how to worship Krishna. For conditioned souls of this world, always it is not good if you go on speaking about Krishna who has played the pastimes of an enjoyer and master. You may commit a mistake, thinking, 'Oh! Supreme Lord Sri Krishna has sixteen thousand one hundred eight (16108) wives, then we can also take two – three. When He can take as He is Supreme, we can also take two - three, what is the harm?'

He is the only enjoyer, He is the only pūrush and all others are not pūrush, we are all prakṛti. We are to be enjoyed and dominated by Him. When we take the ego of pūrush then everything will be lost. We are not pūrush, here male members are not pūrush, female members are not pūrush. Those who have got the enjoying spirit, they are acting like a pūrush, being averse to Sri Krishna, have forgotten the relation with Sri Krishna. They are enveloped by the illusory energy, they are thinking we are the enjoyer. Now we may be in female form or in male form, when the enjoying spirit is there that is called pūrush. We are not pūrush, pūrush is He (Lord Sri Krishna) and He is the only enjoyer in Vrindavan Dham. He is the only enjoyer and master and all are serving Him. They all have different love relations with Krishna—śānta, dāsya, sākhya, vātsalya and mādhurya. Whatever you see in this world, actually it exists in the transcendental realm of Vrindavan. This world is a perverted reflection. When we do not want to serve Krishna as eternal master then we shall get non-eternal master here and will have separation grief and we will be punished. When we do not want to serve Krishna as a friend, then we shall get a non-eternal friend here, that is the punishment. As much attachment we shall have as much separation grief you will have. When you do not want to serve Krishna as a son then you will get a non-eternal son here and when you do not want to serve Krishna as a husband then you will get a non-eternal husband, a perverted reflection of this transcendental realm. Every relation with Krishna.
