Question by a devotee : What is Lord Brahma's relationship i.e. rasa with Krishna? I believe worship of Sri Radha Krishna was introduced by Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

Answer by Srila Gurudev : There are four sampradāyas. They are described in Padma Purana. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu could have His own sampradāya, but He gave respect to the spiritual injunction. He accepted Brahma-Madhva Gaudiya Sampradāya. But His teachings started from Madhavendra Puri, actual teachings. In one day of Brahma, Nandanandana Sri Krishna appears only once in the Dwapara Yuga of 28th Chatur Yuga of Vaivasvata Manavantar. He did not distribute the sweet prema (Divine Love). We are born in Kaliyuga following this Dwapara Yuga. Now Nandanandana Krishna, taking the form and complexion of Radharani, appeared as Gauranga Mahaprabhu to distribute that love, consort hood of love, Gopi-prem to all, irrespective of caste and creed. It is our fortune.

Krishna and Brahma have the relation as master and servant. That is permanent. But by Brahma's grace the Vashushresta (Drona) and Dhara both performed tremendous worship and became Nanda Maharaja and Yashoda Devi, and Krishna appeared. Although, he saw Krishna predominantly as master and himself as servant, by his grace they got it. In their previous birth they (Nanda Maharaja and Yashoda Devi) were Dhara and Drona, Vashushresta. How is it possible? By the grace of Ramachandra, He was making the pastime of following the ethical principles, all the rishi-munis of Dandakaranya got Krishna as Gopis get Krishna in parakīyā-rasa. They got śreṣṭha Gopi prema. Ramachandra said, “As Ramachandra I shall take one wife, I cannot have many. If you want to get Me as a husband then when I should be born in Vrindavan, you should be born as Gopis and then you will get Me.”

Durvasa Rishi gave blessings to Radharani! While Radharani is complete internal potency of Krishna but Durvasa blessed Her that if anybody takes the food prepared by Radharani, his span of life will be increased. For increasing the span of life of Gopal, Yashoda Devi always requested Radharani to come to Her house to cook. How you will understand this? By the desire of Supreme Lord, this is a kind of Lila to increase happiness, increase joy in the pastimes, mirth pastimes, delightfulness.
