Birth Centennial Annual of Om Vishnupad 108 Sri Srimad Bhakti Ballabh Tirtha Goswami Maharaj, Acharya of Sree Chaitanya Gaudiya Math (Regd.)

Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu teaches us to chant the Holy Name with the four qualities of being humbler than a blade of grass, more forbearing than a tree, giving respect to all and having no desire to get respect from others.

    Śrī Śrīvāsa Paṇḍita

When Śrīvāsa Paṇḍita saw this extraordinary manifestation of the Lord, he was overcome with feelings of love and began to recite hymns of praise. Mahāprabhu was pleased with Śrīvāsa Paṇḍita’s recital and told him to call his wife and family members to see His divine form. He gave His prasāda to Nārāyaṇī Devī and showed His mercy to her by making her utter the Holy Name. Just as the devotee is dear to the Lord, the Lord is also dear to His devotee.

    Lord Krishna Himself Provides Everything

Mahaprabhu responded to Srivas Pandit’s statement by giving a roar and repeated the blessing He had given him before in Navadvipa, “Even if the Goddess of Fortune has to go begging, you will never know want in your home. Lord Krishna Himself provides everything that His exclusive devotees need.”

A Person Related to A Devotee is Also Dear to Krishna

Dukhi is related to Srivas Pandit. A person related to a devotee is also dear to Krishna. Krishna or Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is not seeing other qualities. Similarly, there was a tailor who was Muslim by birth who used to sew garments of Srivas Pandit. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu said he may be a Muslim but he has aptitude and desire to serve Srivas Pandit and his family members. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was satisfied. He has no other qualities. When Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was chanting and dancing He infused the divine love in that Muslim tailor and he also started dancing. By chanting of holy names he got all ecstatic feelings that muni rishis cannot get.

Glories of Sri Vakreswara Pandit (Hindi)

Vakreswara Pandit is the Lord’s dear servant, who danced without rest for seventy-two hours. Mahaprabhu personally sang when Vakreswara Pandit danced, and thus Vakreswara Pandit fell down at the Lord’s feet and said, “O moon-faced Lord! Give me ten thousand Gandharvas! It will make me happy if I can dance as they sing.” The Lord answered, “I have only one wing like you. If I had another, I could fly in the sky!”

    Rathayatra - The Cart Festival

Lord Jagannathdev Himself instructed Indradyumn Maharaj on what are the services He would like to accept from him. After His Chandan Yatra festival for 21 days, He ordered the King to perform the bathing ceremony. After that again the King wanted another service. Then the Lord said, 'You do Rathayatra'. After the bathing ceremony, Jagannathdev made the pastimes of being ill for 15 days, ill of fever. Then He said, 'I want to see all my devotees, many of them are not allowed to enter in the temple, I want to see them and they should be given the scope to see me. If they will see me they will get eternal welfare.'

Śrī Svarūpa Dāmodara Gosvāmī was able to understand everything that Mahāprabhu experienced during this time.

      Vṛndāvane Chalo! He Gopīnātha

The love of the Vrajavāsis for Śrī Kṛṣṇa is unparalleled and supreme. When they heard that Kṛṣṇa would be coming to Kurukṣetra from Dvārakā, their hearts surged with longing. Though uninvited, they could not restrain themselves—they were compelled by the fire of separation to catch even a glimpse of their beloved. This episode beautifully reveals the depth and intensity of their love, which knows no bounds, follows no protocol, and seeks no reward—only union with Kṛṣṇa.

      Cleansing The Temple

On the eve of the Ratha-yātrā, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu leads His devotees to cleanse the Guṇḍicā Temple, symbolizing the purification of the heart. True preparation for Kṛṣṇa’s arrival involves removing all material desires and making the heart like Vṛndāvana, where only Kṛṣṇa reigns supreme. External cleaning mirrors inner cleansing—freeing the mind from attachments, ego, and selfish aims. Through sincere harināma-saṅkīrtana and offense-free chanting, one purifies the heart, making it a fitting abode for Kṛṣṇa’s divine presence.

      Sri Jagannatha Ratha-Yatra

In the beginning Sriman Mahaprabhu for His first twenty four years acted as a regular householder in Sridham Navadvipa. He after that time, in the holy City of Puri in His role as a renunciate, began exhibiting the pangs of intense separation characteristic of high devotional moods. Apparently, although it was His mother's behest in Advaita Bhavan for Himself to reside in the holy City of Puri, in actual fact it was all His own very plan. Puri City is the Supreme Lord's natural abode. The other familiar names for this City are Purusottama, Sri Ksetra, Nilacala, Lord Sri Krishna at one time, informed Sri Mahadeva about His hidden realm Puri whose glories are understood by only a very few (Chaitanya Bhagavata Antya 2nd).

This indicates an unwise person.''

Chaitanya Mahāprabhu has taught in the first verse, mainly seven principal attainments or more correctly all attainments while doing Śrī Rādhā-Krishna sankīrtan.

His kīrtana is Only for Bhagavan’s Pleasure

Krishna is telling Narada Goswami ‘mad-bhaktā yatra gāyanti tatra tiṣṭhāmi nārada’ (Padma Puran). 'Wherever My devotees assemble and sing the glories of My Name, Form, Attributes, Pastimes and Personal Associates is the place that I stay.' Also, Srila Gurudev would refer to Sri Vyasa Deva’s pastime of attaining eternal bliss after he wrote Srimad Bhagavatam exclusively for the pleasure of the Lord on the advice of his Guru Narada Goswami. Here Srila Bhakti Kushala Padmanabha Maharaj is affectionately remembering the same teaching of Gurudev through his kirtans and harikatha. that all the limbs of devotion should be performed with the sole purpose of propitiating the Supreme Lord and nothing else.
