    Preparing Ourselves for Parikrama (English)

To get emancipation from worldly bondage you have to perform Parikrama. You have to engage your sense organs, mind, intelligence and everything for the service of Navadvip Dham. The transcendental Navadvip Dham, the spiritual realm is one with Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the most munificent form of Godhead. Navadvip Dham is all merciful. Without the grace of Navadvip Dham you cannot perform Vraja Dham Parikrama. You will not be able to see Vraja Dham.

    Glories of Antardvipa

Navadvip extends over sixteen krosas. Within the sixteen krosas of Navadvipa, which are non-different from Vrndavana, there are nine islands, which form an eight-petaled lotus floating on the water. In the middle of the eight islands, or petals, lies Antardvipa. Brahma received darshan of Sri Gauranga here.

    Glories of Chandrasekhar Acharya Bhavan

Sri Chandrasekhar Acharya, or Acharya Ratna as he was sometimes referred to, was the great second branch of Lord Chaitanya’s desire tree of devotional service. He was Lord Chaitanya’s maternal uncle, the husband of Sarvajaya, Saci Mata’s sister. He, like Jagannatha Mishra was originally a resident of Sylhet. Lord Chaitanya had enacted a beautiful play, revealing the pastimes of Vrindavana, here at Chandrasekhar Bhavan, that enchanted the hearts of all the devotees.

    Glories of Murari Gupta

Murari Gupta was Hanuman in Ramachandra’s pastime; Purandara was Angada and Govindananda Sugriva. The word Gupta means 'hidden', so the name Murari Gupta indicates that Murari (Sri Chaitanya Deva) had secretly taken up permanent residence in his heart. Murari Gupta took birth in a family of Ayurvedic physicians in the district of Sylhet. Murari Gupta is a physician for material diseases.

    The Deities at Yogapith

The eternal pastimes of Lord Chaitanya take place within Yogapitha and the circle of Mayapur, the circumference of which measures three and a half miles and the diameter measures just over one mile. Because the Panca-tattva are seated at the Yogapitha, it is the most glorious of all places.

On the Adhivas of Parikrama (Hindi)

By performing parikrama, our love and attachment to the Supreme Lord increases and we lose interest in any matter not related to the Supreme Lord. Many householder devotees who are not able to get much sadhu sanga, come for Navadvip dham parikrama and the effect of this injection remains for the rest of the year and then again when the effect fades with time, they come over for parikrama of dham.

      Śrī Puruṣottama Dāsa Ṭhākura

I worship my worshipable lord, Puruṣottama Dāsa Ṭhākura. Who can list his incomparable qualities? He was merciful to those who were devoid of virtue, displaying the natural power of his compassion. When only seven years old, he was so intoxicated with love for Kṛṣṇa that he danced in a way that enchanted the entire world.

      Śrī Rasikānanda Deva Gosvāmī

Rasikānanda Deva Gosvāmī fully committed himself in body, mind, and soul to the service of his guru. Indeed, he served him so well that in a short time, he was recognized as Śyāmānanda Prabhu’s chief disciple, a very powerful preacher, and Acharya himself. It is a truism that a good disciple becomes a good teacher.

        Glories of Simantadvipa

Hearing Siva's words, beautiful Parvati quickly went to Simantadvipa. As she constantly meditated on the form of Gauranga and chanted His name, she became immersed in prema. After some time, Gaurachandra appeared with His associates to bestow mercy on Parvati. His complexion was like molten gold. He had long arms, wavy hair, and beautiful limbs. He was wearing a long dhoti folded thrice, and from His neck swung a garland of flowers, which was very attractive to behold. Parvati put Gauranga's foot dust on her Simanta (part in the hair) in great distress. From that, the name of Simantadvipa came.

        Glories of Koladvipa

Seeing the vipra's devotion, Varaha sweetly said, 'O Vasudeva, as you are My devotee, I am satisfied by your worship. When Kali-yuga comes I will display My pastimes here. Hear My words. In the three worlds, there is no comparison to Navadvip. Though it is hidden now, it is My very dear abode. The scriptures confirm that all holy places such as Brahmavarta reside here. The place where Brahma performed a sacrifice and I appeared to kill Hiranyaksa with My tusks, that holy place is present here, where I have appeared now. By serving Navadvip, all tirthas are served, and by living in Navadvip, the fruit of living at all other tirthas is attained. You are fortunate to serve Me in Navadvip. When Gauranga advents, you will be born here again. You will see the maha-sankirtana and the astounding form of Gauranga.

Srila Bhakti Pramod Puri Goswami Maharaj, a prominent disciple of Srila Bhakti Siddhanth Saraswati Thakur Prabhupad, would say that Nityananda Prabhu and Gauranga Mahaprabhu Themselves dance in the Kirtan performed by Srila Gurudev.

        Kirtan

        Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa Bol Bol

This composition is from the book 'Gitavali' by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur and he is praying to the enslaved jivas of this world - 'You utter the name of Radha Krishna and you go along with us, then you will get everything.' It reminds us of the blissful pastimes of the Most Merciful Sriman Mahaprabhu and Sri Nityananda Prabhu distributing Krishna-nama and Krishna-prema freely to all the living entities as They dance through 'Nadia.' Srila Gurudev has sung this Kirtan during Sri Navadvip Dhama Parikrama along with devotees and the accompaniment of mridanga, kartals, khansar, etc. The Mahamantra kirtan in the later part is in a sweet soothing Vraja-dhun.

Just by Remembering Him, One Becomes Free From Millions of Births

Mahārāja also explained that only when a pure devotee is giving prasādam, whether or not it was formally offered to Kṛṣṇa with mantras and everything. If you do that you offer the formal mantras and go near the altar and all that, you still don’t know if Kṛṣṇa has eaten it. But when a pure devotee hands prasādam, you know Kṛṣṇa has eaten it even if it wasn’t offered to him, it was just handed to the pure devotee.
